Re: Some Chademo stations closing contactors then faulting
Max allowed current draw is 2A
https://www.evcreate.nl/chademo-fast-charging-in-diy/
Indeed... but as with every implementation, the EVSE builders sometimes differ one way or another with their final setup. (just like us, on the vehicle end). I guess sometimes they go for "2A continuous" and ...

Re: Some Chademo stations closing contactors then faulting
Hi johu,
I had the same issue on my last CHAdeMO conversion. All seemed straight and nicely timed on the CAN and signals implementation, but my sessions were failing on SOME stations around town. I even learned by trial and error which brand and generation of EVSEs were rejecting my car.

Holy smoke! That enclosure is very nice! Great job!
What's the plan to talk over CANbus with multiple Elteks with the same IDs? Can they be reprogrammed to other addresses?

Hi. I could trade for a 1st gen Nissan Leaf DC-DC assembly (2011-2012 ZE0). (the ugly vertical one hidden behind the motor inverter.)
Thanks!

Good job thornogson! I may have missed it, but: Is this version also 125kbps CAN controlled using the Eltek FP protocol found everywhere?
I had great success with the other "blade-type" connector Eltek flatpacks, but this one is intriguing. Thanks for working on it!

Hi. It depends on your requirements for integration.
If you are ready to crimp an Anderson connector or other lugs on the HV cables yourself for easy connection (because the matching par for the silver Kia Yura connector in the picture is impossible to source), I can sell one CHAdeMO car-side port ...

I also have some used OEM vehicle-side CHAdeMO connector receptacles for those working on CHAdeMO hardware development for their EV conversion. (these are the real original ones from Nissan / Yazaki or Kia / Yura).
PM-me if there is interest. I'll add pictures soon.

I have a couple of new IVT-S shunts available from a past order I can part with. They are the 1000A version, non-terminated CAN, 3 voltage measuring inputs. (Exact same version as listed in Bratitude's link).
For simplicity's sake : I'll let them go at the same cost proposed earlier : 165EUR each ...

Re: Maximum achievable charging power with an inverter
Thanks Damien! after reading that interesting development thread link you posted, I see that for charging mode, the Yaris/Auris Gen 3 inverter seems like a strong contender: both cheap and an all-in-one solutions by using internal buck-boost DC-DC. (having a few non-Toyota inverters here, I was ...

Re: Maximum achievable charging power with an inverter
Well, yes, that was my original conclusion before I considered using a $100 Prius inverter dedicated for off-board charging. Hence, this current interesting thread about >5kW charging mode with an inverter. (cheaper and more interesting than purchasing $1k of hardware).

Maybe 2x tesla chargers on 3phase?
Unfortunately, 3-phase isn't a road-side option in my country. (On the upside, there is an infinity of 30A@240V-single phase EVSE everywhere). But at Home, two 10kW Tesla OBC/PCS would work.
If you hunt around 20kW for 500 USD with two Tesla PCS should be ...
