Re: Inverter Firmware 5.20.R
sounds not too good but not too surprising either:
1. MGR apparently needs large lqminusld, maybe 5. Try it
2. Please check curkifrqgain=0 and please post the parameters with new firmware (the ones you attached are your older ones). Also make sure syncofs is well tuned
4. damn, forgot to keep this ...

Re: Inverter Firmware 5.20.R
Hi, folks.
I`m try 5.20 firmware.. well, what can I say - the unexpected recuperation seems to have really gone... but the behavior of the inverter itself has become completely unpredictable, it seems that the inverter has been torn off the throttle and it lives its life 1. When pressed throttle, it ...

- Why you don`t paralleling MG1 busbars with MG2? Here is only 20mm2 per phase - it`s not enough for 400+Amps phase current
Not sure I understand. That's what I and others have done without issue. The dimensions aren't much ...

Re: MG F - Outlander Rear differential with Prius Gen 2 Inverter.
The Outlander unit is described as “synchronous perm magnet brushless” which my none EE brain interprets as PMSM. Did you take this into consideration or is the ‘lack of efficiency’ of small magnitude? You don’t mention significant problems with tuning so I am, as usual, relying on the smarter ...

Re: Prius Gen 3 Inverter Logic Board Support Thread
Yes field weakening is not fully sorted. As for cruise control a very low value (like 0.1) for regenramp should help.
With brknompedal and brkmax set to 0 there will be no regen. Unless it is unintended like at very high rpm
I still can`t full disable regen. It work strange - with speed up to ...

Moar POWAH!
In the meantime I’ve been working on some other upgrades, starting with the inverter.
To date I have only been using half of its outputs – so called ‘MG 2’. But my control board supports me driving MG1 as well and bridging the outputs. This requires some simple soldering of jumpers ...

Re: Prius Gen 3 Inverter Logic Board Support Thread
I assumed that the fwkp parameter was responsible for weakening the field. But its configuration does not give obvious changes in a maximum speed. With a default value of -100, the car goes kind of softer, but when starting, with kick-down throttle, it is shuting down by error OVERCURRENT, but there ...

If that's the issue, I've updated the wiki with Damiens suggested fix. A capacitor needs replacing.
I try to suit thinking hat and see :

I have a trouble with spontaneously stack a logic board during driving. If I run a Plot it occure wery quick.
We may be looking into another LDO issue. Wifi module soaks up 3V3 power giving garbage ADC readings that somehow lead to tripping out.
Else one more issue which I observe : During ...

Re: Prius Gen 3 Inverter Logic Board Support Thread
Ok just to be super clear here : The Prius/Auris boards do not use the standard openinverter hardware overcurrent system. Rather they use the fault signal generated by the Toyota gate driver. So if you are getting an overcurrent it is not due to a measured current by a sensor but rather the gate ...

Yes I would be interested in that too. By the way has anybody run MG1 and MG2 in parallel for more power on a single motor on V1c board? How do we wire the motor and which jumpers we need to solder up - just the 6 by the 50 way connector or also the one next to R81? Thanks 🙂
Yes. I`ve ...

I`ve tested with curki=10000 on outlander rear transaxle - it`s perfect. Up to 100 km/h no any shock. We have only soft regen.

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander rear axle
Earlier I tried to use Lexus MGR too, but Outlander MGR have much more potential:
Liquid cooling system in stock,
more magnet field area,
more section of phase conductors,
more tork.
For RWD car it is perfect solution. For FWD too I think...
If combine it with stock inverter under CAN VCU it ...

Yesterday uploaded to my Prius Gen3 inverter v5.06.R FOC firmware. Without any configuration became much better, on my Outlander rear transaxle.
But stiil some regen, not so thereble. As soon I can, I will play with options.

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander rear axle
cпасибо UStas, just what I needed. I bought a Mitsubishi axle yesterday. The Lexus MGR didn’t just splash, it had to run into galleries to cool and lubricate so wouldn’t be happy running backwards. I may now have three options, run it as native - but would need to cut into the car floor, run it in ...

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander rear axle
Could anyone on this thread comment on the possibility of mounting this unit so that it runs in reverse? The Toyota/Lexus MGR that I was planning to use uses the final drive gear to throw cooling/lubricating oil around the inside so it wouldn’t be happy long term running backwards. I’m thinking of ...

What is there motor?
Is there parallel connection of MG1 & MG2 power stages?
What maximum current did you get?
