I can confirm my new Chenming seal is leaking. Sensor is wet after about 300 miles but doesn't seem to be leaking at a high volume. No fluid in the motor or inverter, and nothing came out of the drain bolt I drilled next to the sensor.

Does anyone know the size of the O-ring on the drive unit speed sensor? I don't see the ring itself listed in the Tesla or MB parts diagrams. Mine was torn when removed.

The SKF 30x55x7 HMS5 V is designed to work with the SKF speedi sleeve 99114. If it works, it'll be a far easier solution to repair than having the rotor re-machined.

I have now fitted the aforementioned SKF seal. It will run on the Speedi sleeve.

I took the car for a blast last night and everything seems fine.

I think that most of SKF's PTFE seals are custom made to order. The closest SKF off-the-shelf catalogue seal that matches the desired dimensions and is able to run at 12,420RPM is the rubber(!) seal model HMS5 V , but that one is "designed for oil or grease lubricated applications" ( source ...

According to the seller, BK means "oil flooded" and should have a longer life. I don't know what they exactly mean with oil flooded. PTFE often has certain additives to improve friction and dry run, so maybe they mean an additive.

The Merc B250E uses a Tesla motor, and there are seal's available which you should be able to order/by from any Merc dealer.
