a) cracked solder joint of connector on OI board. Diagnose with microscope or by wiggling every single pin with tweezers. (I don't think a continuity test will discover this because intermittent).

my opinion is exactly the same. somewhere the soldering contact on the control board is missing.

Re: SDU on 56S (204V nom)

I've always been curious about how to get the basic RPM of the engine from the power plant using sinusoidal firmware.
For synchronous motors, it's easy to do this by disabling the FW, which allows you to obtain the RPM based on the current battery voltage.
However, how can усwe achieve this using ...

Re: VOLT/AMPERA inverter single controler dual IGBT drive

Thanks, I didn't think of that. It's a strange solution, but you could use 12 volts for this purpose, like everyone else.
I'm going to use it with a small V3 Joohu board and not use the small steering inverter.

Re: VOLT/AMPERA inverter single controler dual IGBT drive

Hello everyone. I need help with this inverter.
I'm applying 5 volts to the red and black wires, but the drivers don't receive power, and connecting the inputs to ground doesn't open the channels.
What am I missing to get it working?

Re: [Driving] Homebuilt Locost 7 - from Motorcycle engine to Leaf power!

and why not use a charging system using an OI board??
in boost mode, you can supply any constant voltage to the input, even 75 volts, and an inverter with a motor will raise it to your battery level.

@Romale did you ever figure out the issue?

......

How should I interpret this? Did I mess up soldering one of the JSTs, or is there a bad component on the board? Should I be concerned or ignore the error?

Hi. I'm not sure what to say to that.
No, I haven't figured out the problem.

This can be used on the DcSw positive contactor output. So only when you have other means to control the latter

it could be a great feature if it used a less sought-after output (for example, instead of "out vtg" or "out err")

I tested charging with a boost current of 100 amps, it works great ...

So any recommendations from anyone for a charger that won’t break the bank? Dont anticipate doing this often, so feature rich is not necessary.

You can use any old charger from a mobile phone with an output of 5 volts and 2 amperes and watch the voltmeter to perfectly tighten the 55 cell.
You ...

Re: Solar Catamaran 45ft with dual Leaf motor

They work with low voltage just with lower efficiency than low voltage mosfet inverters

this efficiency is so SLIGHTLY lower that the huge gain from the price outweighs the huge advantage in the direction of cheap inverters from Outlander, Honda or note-e power.
The very inexpensive rear ...

Re: Solar Catamaran 45ft with dual Leaf motor

This point alone will probably keep me away from the Leaf inverter and the openinverter control board.
The boat should have 30-40 kW available from 2 motors for short burst, but the reality is it will move the majority of time with 5-15 kW from one or two motors.
Low speed is key to have range ...

Is there also chance that efficiency of IGBT in 400V controller working at 58V will be lower than mosfets inside 72V controller?

Re: Leaf Gen 1 board

even if you are using the wrong order of connecting the phases and PWM channels of the drivers, then you need to go all the way through configuring the correct syncofs.
but I repeat, the correct value for your motor is 0 with an O.I. v3 board.

So is the net effect more power in field weakening? One thing I'm still a bit worried about was that at higher speeds (I think about 8000 rpm on a Leaf motor) I was still getting occasional unwanted acceleration. Changing the syncadv seemed to help, but now anything that has to do with syncadv ...

I am ashamed, but I am not familiar with Clark))
however, I am absolutely sure that if every 1 syncadv shifts the real syncofs by 100 values, then with a syncadv value of 20 we are guaranteed to permanently solve the problem of loss of control.

I just thought of the difference between a static syncofs offset and the dynamic syncadv: syncofs is applied to both forward and backward Clarke tranformation wheres syncadv is only applied to backward transformation.
Makes me wonder should I maybe apply syncadv to forward Clarke and 2*syncadv to ...
