Re: The ZombieVerter VCU Project
Hello Damien,
Congrats for the awesome progress - I really would like to have a GS450h here to (try to) follow your steps =)
Sorry for repeating an already asked question, but as I saw you were now offering a full built option for the ZombieVerter VCU, I was wondering if the situation for the ...

Re: Mini Mainboard
Hi @johu, how is the BOM check going ? Do you need some help ?
On a related note, I was thinking of doing the same thing (converting to KiCad) the Leaf Adapter . However the files on your repo ( leaf_adapter.fpc and leaf_adapter_smd.fpc ) are for an older version (v3 main board) - not the one you ...

Re: Lack of CAN communication new Nissan Leaf adapter board
Excellent, thanks !
One thing to check is that the BOM is consistent. I had to manually find all the component on JLCPCB and some time I may have chosen the wrong one (tolerance / voltage / etc...)
(If you still have your original BOM I can cross check that to confirm the part choices.)

Re: Lack of CAN communication new Nissan Leaf adapter board
Here it is https://github.com/llange/openinverter-hw-mainboard-mini .
I tried to stress it in the README - there are certainly errors introduced during the conversion. I tried my best but don't have that much experience using KiCad nor designing boards.

Re: Lack of CAN communication new Nissan Leaf adapter board
You're certainly right but while I used eagle a long time ago (DOS version anyone ?) I now prefer to use free software, hence my KiCad approach.
What do you think so ? Should I share it somewhere, or you prefer that I don't ?

Hi @MattsAwesomeStuff, you're welcome, and your kind words are appreciated !
It seems you have been through the same path of documenting things you wanted to understand... so thank you also for your multiple contributions to the project !

Thank you for the file update.
OK for your stance on the manufacturing data / gerbers. You're right that they can be generated, but I try to avoid Eagle now that it needs an account/activation and try to use free software when possible...

Re: ESP8266 Web Interface - new files layout, adding build documentation
Hi @johu, Now #16 is ready for review also.
If you don't know (yet) PlatformIO I suggest that you have a look at it if you want to script or automate your builds ; it works with Arduino but other Framework, OSes, etc... ; supports multiple boards / cpus / compilers / etc... and is a solid base for ...

Re: Lack of CAN communication new Nissan Leaf adapter board
Hi @johu, I believe you fixed this already in your git for the mainboard-mini.sch and mainboard-mini.brd (however the PDF File of the schematics is not updated).
Would it be possible that you also share the Gerber files, BOM and Placement file ? I was wanting to convert this schematic/board from ...

Re: ESP8266 Web Interface - new files layout, adding build documentation
Yes, I need to "rebase" each time you merged the previous one, then I switch the status from "Draft" to "Normal".
I just unlocked the https://github.com/jsphuebner/esp8266-web-interface/pull/15 for you to apply.
I'll do the same thing for the 2 or 3 left.

Re: ESP8266 Web Interface - new files layout, adding build documentation
Hey @vwbrady, thanks for the encouraging words ! I'll add another way to update the HTML-ish files soon (a small 'upload.sh' which can be used to upload either all files or a specified file, can be quicker than upload the whole filesystem)
@johu, I submitted the first PR for your review on GitHub ...

Re: ESP8266 Web Interface - new files layout, adding build documentation
Thanks @johu for your feedback on github.
Accordingly, I've reworked the layout, you can have a look at the final layout here :
https://github.com/llange/esp8266-web-i ... -mdns-name
If it's OK for you then I'll open a few PRs for that.

ESP8266 Web Interface - new files layout, adding build documentation
Hello,
As I wanted to get my hands dirty with the web interface code (not the HTML ; but the .cpp) and compile it, I did have some small troubles setting up a dev environment.
I took some notes, and reworked a little the file layout of the main git (https://github.com/jsphuebner/esp8266-web ...
