Re: Conversion of a 2010 BMW 535i GT -Lexus GS450h
Have you tried it yet or not? I vaguely remember someone saying it worked fine on here but you'd be probanoy best just trying it out and seeing if it works. Are the connectors identical?

I don't care. What I do care about is what that lathe is going to be doing?

Re: Hybrid-EV Recreational Vehicle
This is a big engineering project to get everything working together and synchronised at the wheels. The best approach would be to get the EV side of things sorted first, then later add a range extender and finally if really needed add the AWD components in my opinion.

Re: 981 Boxster Electric Power Steering
for the VW T6.1 rack (also based on the MQB platform) I get speed assist with only one Can ID (0x0FD), this contains the speed (over 2 bytes), CRC and counter. it's all detailed in the thread above however I'm not sure if this remains applicable to the porsche racks.

I'd be interested in your experience in printing the grommets with the 85a tpu. I've done some.in standard tpu but I think its good hard and might rub the cable too much.

Probably worth adding you location. There's is a UK breaker selling a 40kwh pack for very cheap on ebay atm but it is quite damaged and would be very risky. It was on at £99 collected.

Re: Peugeot/Citroen ibooster GEN2 Hacking
Sorry to resurrect this one. I've got an Ibooster from a Zoe that was working fine and I was about to install onto my van, just for an extra test I tried playing back a CAN log from my van on the YAW CAN, at the time it didn't seem to do anything but the following day it stopped working, no clicking ...

Yes but youll have to tune it. Lots of people have paired toyota inverters with non toyota motors with a replacement brain board from either Damien or Johu.

Re: VAG IBooster - Info Thread
After having some difficulty with the ibooster from a Renault Zoe I've picked up a cheap gen2 ibooster from a VW Egolf. The seller also has the same item listed for an Audi and Seat.
Ill update the wiki once it arrives. Im hoping to swap the ibooster ECU and motor over as the Zoe Ibooster housing ...

Re: Registering and changing tax class of an EV conversion in the UK
Yes and there was also something about drivetrain swaps for "environmental" reasons that did not effect historic status. I think they will get around this by claiming it has not effected its historic status and as such it is still tax exempt for this reason but needs an MOT because of the conversion.

Would a prius inverter be a better option here. It can then boost the input voltage to the set point.

Re: [WIP] Mercedes L409 ex. firetruck
I love this so much, these had a plywood floor right? Should make the battery mounting options easy enough. I was planning on converting my old mercedes 310D van to an EV with a GS450H transmission. The L210 will be a good option and much more compact.

Re: [DRIVING] Leaf to VW Type 2 Campervan
It should do. The issue for me was the connecting rod for the ibooster to the brake pedal was a clevis and my T5 setup was a ball joint so I had to extend and modify this. I then extend the push rod on the Ibooster to the master cylinder and use a mounting plate adapter. This was as easy as buying ...

Re: [DRIVING] Leaf to VW Type 2 Campervan
I ended up swapping the Master cylinder to the same used on my T5, thus keeping the reservoir and brake lines. I did have to make a plate and slight rod extension to convert between the renault Zoe ibooster and the MC from my VW T5. But I think this is the nearest approach.
