Re: Bunky the eBug: A 30 Day EV Conversion
Really interested in seeing how this High Voltage works out. There is a guy in England with a 240Z or 260Z with a GS450H at 600 volts, I've not seen any details, only a video of him in the car. Being about to do this could really make a fast charging machine.

Greg, a zero to 60 would tell us a lot about how it runs in comparison to other cars we currently drive. I know you've been busy with the VW, really glad to see youdoing that build, I had been curious about those motors.

Greg, I had mentioned Paul Mangelsdorf who races a 40 Chevy with a LD"U mounted in the rear. I finally remembered to ask him about how he was tweaking his tune to get the car so quick and he replied in this thread: https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=89688#p89688\

Re: [DRIVING] 1940 Chevrolet with Tesla Motor
Thanks Paul, I don't ktnow if this is applicable to the VCU either but I'll let him know and we'll find out.
Good luck at Rockingham, do you plan to run Speed Week again this year?

Re: [DRIVING] 1940 Chevrolet with Tesla Motor
Paul, I was telling Gregski with the GMC Lexus trans conversino about watching you at Speed Week and how you mentioned Tweaking the settings to get a little more out of your LDU and he asked me what you tweaked and I had no idea. What got us curious is that he is usinig the VCU and we wondered if ...

Re: [DRIVING] 1940 Chevrolet with Tesla Motor
The forward two bushings are in place, the middle point is bolted to the car's frame.
However, I don't recommend using this solution. The subframe prevents the drive unit from getting as high up in the car as it should be, leading to weird axle angles and the combination of a tall ride height and ...

Re: [DRIVING] 1940 Chevrolet with Tesla Motor
Paul, when you built this car did you weld the rear sub frame in or is it mounted on the rubber bushings? I was thinking about using your same suspension swap on some GMs with a 4-link. Thanks

Re: 1971 GMCe Lexus GS450H BMW 530e Tesla Model S Electruck
Greg, once you get everything done, would be helpful to have a truck weight and a zero to 60 time. That can be used to get a calculated hp rating and also give us an idea how it runs. https://www.calculator.net/engine-horse ... r.html#tsm

Re: [DRIVING] 1940 Chevrolet with Tesla Motor
Paul, I streamed Drag Week and saw you run, great job. I saw a video that might be of help to you if you've not already seen it. It is a battery trailer range extender the guy built, uses a Tesla battery. The way I see it, you would keep your small pack in the car to race, light weight, then unplug ...
