Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
Yes worked on that, see latest commit.
Now where do we stand?
- I run v2.1, v2.3 and v2.4 hardware on a 96S system and it has survived multiple power cycles
- Mario runs 96S with v2.2, how does that go?
- Proton runs 96S now with v2.4 modules, works?
- Octavius runs 96S with capacitor patch, no ...

Re: Coupler Guidance
A friend tried it, but it makes noise whenever the coupler comes into contact with the welds, especially when driving at low speeds (around 30 km/h)

Coupler Guidance
Hello,
I've designed a coupler that directly connects the Nissan Leaf EM57 motor to my gearbox. However, I'm facing a challenge: the coupler pushes too far into the gearbox, which ends up damaging (or "eating into") the aluminum section and causes the motor side to decouple.

Re: Nissan Leaf A/C compressor 92600-3NF0A
I'm not sure there's any sort of direct translation going on here. The AC Auto Amp, I think, is doing the actual climate control job (as well as other things), so it's simply controlling the heater and/or compressor as required/desired. I don't think there is any specific corrolation between the ...

Hello,
I'm looking for a Tesla iBooster along with its wire harness at an affordable price. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations on where I might find one?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
I swapped one module into my 64S pack and it works. Of course that doesn't say much as the old one worked as well.
To patch modules to this state first install this software: https://github.com/jsphuebner/FlyingAdcBms/actions/runs/15473329191
Never run a v2.4 BMS or one patched to that state ...

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
Ok, interesting approach. Yes they'd need something along the lines of this https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1351 or that https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6361 to isolate them from each other and still have communication.
Or just wait and see if we found the culprit ...

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
No, the current sensor must be connected to the first board and transmits its value to the other ones via CAN
That's not how it is designed to work. E.g. for balancing each board needs to know the min/max/avg cell voltages of the others. Why are you not doing the CAN interconnection?
The ...

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
I have a battery pack with 96 cells.
I'm trying to run them without interconnecting the BMS boards directly. According to the [Wiki], it says:

Hello,
A few months ago, I purchased a vacuum pump control board from the webshop. I've connected it as described below, but the pump isn't starting.

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
I recently received six ADC16 BMS boards and an ESP32 board from the OpenInverter shop. For testing, I connected one BMS board following the instructions on the wiki:
ENAL_IN and 12V connected to a 12V power supply
GND to GND
BMS CANL to ESP32 CANL
BMS CANH to ESP32 CANH
I successfully connected ...

Re: Precharge resistor guidance
The resistor in your image is 35 ohm, not 350 ohm. At 400v there is 4500 watts acting on it initially.
Tom's recommendation has 1600 watts as the initial hit.
These both sound huge but are short duration.
These both have wattage taper down as the voltage delta drops over time. You can use https ...

Precharge resistor guidance
Hello,
In my EV conversion project using a Zombieverter, Nissan Leaf drivetrain, and a 400V battery pack, I’ve been using a 50W 35ΩJ resistor as part of the pre-charge circuit. However, the resistor works for a few days before failing—I’ve already replaced it three times.
I would appreciate your ...

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
Hi all,
I have a Leaf current sensor (Hall effect type) with three wires: GND, Voltage, and Signal (current output). I'm trying to connect it to the Flying ADC 16 BMS, but I'm a bit confused about the proper wiring.
I've been reading through the documentation here:

Thanks! I just setup github account at https://github.com/RERides-EV. I've made some mods to your code. Goal is to create modules based on controller/device. I can then #include modules for each component I add to a build. For this build, in addition to the Leaf AC compressor, I plan to add temp ...
