Re: Lexus gs450h high pitch noise

here my take on the situation....

i would say with 95% confidence is that we are dealing with old car parts here, we don't know why the cars were scrapped and there's a high likelihood many of these motors/gearbox things have done high mileages and have not had fluid changes and probably on their ...

Toyota to mazda

i'm now now getting close to road worthy with my project is about time to think about phase II ...
My plan for phase 2 is to mate an is300h transmission to to a mazda, initial you would think easy ...however mazda use an aluminium frame (PPF) to link the rear diff to the transmission ... in the US ...

Re: Project RX-8 w/ GS450h Drivetrain

It might be worth tieing the torque frame to the transmission instead of the floor? You have rubber mounting on the diff then solid? Mounted the torque frame to the floor. That turns the floor into a speaker.
tieing the PPF (torque frame) into tranmissin is quite significant job ... just googling ...

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test

I started testing the new batch today and indeed it seems like not all modules are created equal. I have two that work perfectly and two that display quirky values on certain channels. Will look further into it but it seems there is a quality issue, probably with the transistors.

have you used ...

Re: [WIP] Mazda Mx5 (MK2)

Passat batteries are 12s so 12*4.2= 50.4v (only use 4.1 max) ... Biggest problem of this will be finding a charger (other than ebike charger) that's happy with the 35v(2.9v) minimum.

Ps have you spoken to janosch foxev.io as he has actually put taxis though and iva with leaf cells and motor.

Have you brought shares in a tire company?

Isn't the gs450h Torquay enough for the Chevy?

Don't most people go the other way to get more speed at lower rpm?
You seem to want to turn the Chevy into a very quick accelerating projectile 😝

1) The control signal is negative
2) no, I have not found how to use desat
3) I connect the resolver to the johu board
4) high voltage is one wire, it can be seen in the photo (connected to the yellow wire) and it is signed by me on the diagram.

Re: [DRIVING] Audi A2 /w Prius Gen2 Transaxle & Inverter [FINISHED]

I think it is a very typical example of handing over a converted vehicle. Even small problems that take like 30 minutes to fix will make some people write off an otherwise perfectly working car.

I don't think that's even limited to an ev conversion .... anything non standard or old would throw ...

Re: Removed Fellten Boxster Videos

The battery box was a memorable hack job, even DIY standards.
The boxter converted by boxterev is probably one to copy except cutting out the boot floor for the battery box, that is a big no no by DVLA in UK at the moment.

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit Prius Gen 3 ZOMBIE

On the outlander obc/dcdc there is a 12v input to enable the dcdc, however you don't want this on during precharge otherwise it will try and draw current to run the dcdc (alternator), the easiest way to achieve this is so run a relay on the high contactor output of zombie (yes the outputs still work ...

Ha!! Works on the bench then in the car....not a chance unless your tom de Brees or some other wiring god!!
I would advise everything being on a permanent live initially then slowly move things to switched after (except dcdc enabled otherwise you'll blow your pre charge relay) ... I had to rip out ...

Have you read r100 in regards to battery boxes? For intense if the battery box is more than 30cm from the fwd/aft point crush testing is not required. So basically then it's very easy to meet. Interns of off the shelf, most OEM battery boxes will be crush tested just for completeness and ...
