Re: Lexus GS450H motor and inverter what voltage are you running
There's people on here who have used them as low as 78s... But basically 72-92s holds true for most stuff gs450h or most inverters we use (108s in more trouble than it's worth as you have to be selective with chargers)

Re: HV Isolation concern
If I unplug the HV connector on left side, I get 1500MΩ reading. That cable runs directly to the LS600H inverter. When plugged in, reading drops to 15MΩ and I can toggle it back to 1500MΩ by disconnecting the voltage sense wire from ISA shunt. I have tried changing shunts, disconnected pre-charge ...

Re: HV Isolation concern
Just checking the obvious...when you say inverter disconnected HV is live? (Otherwise your just measuring the wire to the contactor). I went with 1000v for isolation test because insulators start to break down at that voltage (plastic conduit becomes noticeably more conductive at 1000v !! Probably ...

Re: Project RX-8 w/ GS450h Drivetrain
It might be worth tieing the torque frame to the transmission instead of the floor? You have rubber mounting on the diff then solid? Mounted the torque frame to the floor. That turns the floor into a speaker.
tieing the PPF (torque frame) into tranmissin is quite significant job ... just googling ...

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
I started testing the new batch today and indeed it seems like not all modules are created equal. I have two that work perfectly and two that display quirky values on certain channels. Will look further into it but it seems there is a quality issue, probably with the transistors.
have you used ...

Re: [WIP] Mazda Mx5 (MK2)
Passat batteries are 12s so 12*4.2= 50.4v (only use 4.1 max) ... Biggest problem of this will be finding a charger (other than ebike charger) that's happy with the 35v(2.9v) minimum.

3) I connect the resolver to the johu board
4) high voltage is one wire, it can be seen in the photo (connected to the yellow wire) and it is signed by me on the diagram.

Re: [DRIVING] Audi A2 /w Prius Gen2 Transaxle & Inverter [FINISHED]
I think it is a very typical example of handing over a converted vehicle. Even small problems that take like 30 minutes to fix will make some people write off an otherwise perfectly working car.
I don't think that's even limited to an ev conversion .... anything non standard or old would throw ...

The battery box was a memorable hack job, even DIY standards.
The boxter converted by boxterev is probably one to copy except cutting out the boot floor for the battery box, that is a big no no by DVLA in UK at the moment.

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit Prius Gen 3 ZOMBIE
On the outlander obc/dcdc there is a 12v input to enable the dcdc, however you don't want this on during precharge otherwise it will try and draw current to run the dcdc (alternator), the easiest way to achieve this is so run a relay on the high contactor output of zombie (yes the outputs still work ...

Ha!! Works on the bench then in the car....not a chance unless your tom de Brees or some other wiring god!!
I would advise everything being on a permanent live initially then slowly move things to switched after (except dcdc enabled otherwise you'll blow your pre charge relay) ... I had to rip out ...
