Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking

As part of the clean up I had reason to try the MG CHEMICALS 8310A Conformal Coating Stripper mentioned a while back. It works quite well on the Musk Goo. Softens it up nicely. Seems to need a little bit of physical scraping with something blunt (matchstick, etc) to remove. It doesn't remove the ...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking

about 10 minutes with a cheap heated solder sucker, and some flux, and the board is free!

IMG_9035.jpg
(starting to build out wiki)

its a rather simple process. place the solder sucker over the pin, let the solder flow, and suck!
After repeating across all the pins, i would then check the pin ...

Thanks for the answer.
1) On my buggy, the engine is on the rear axle. That is, now for it, forward movement is reverse. In the settings, there is a reversemotor item with the ability to choose (off, on, na). But this setting is not saved at all, it is always off. The system shows minus ...

Re: Nissan Leaf and Zombieverter minimum components need?

1. What do you mean can’t save “reverse settings to on”? That is a drive mode, not a setting. That is detrimental by pulling pin 53 high
2. Straight off the inverter and bms canbus, yes. Zombie dose not use this info. Leafspy I think can show you this info
3. If you are using the leaf d

good work! interesting approach with clocking holes for the leaf motor to get the "perfect" angle. looks like there is ample surface area over lap for the coupler. your going to likely crack a cv cage or blow the gearbox before the coupler comes remotely close to breaking! my 4mt (and coupler) is ...

My 1.0 version of the motor adapter was shitty, no question about it
As it self disassembled in the same session as the axleshaft broke, I figured the rime was ripe for a proper redo.
One of the bolts holding the bearing retainer plate came loose and the whole assebly moved outward just enough ...

Re: 1985 VW DOKA syncro (full leaf stack, zombieverter)

Awesome to see this brat. I'm hot on your heels with a syncro with front diff replaced with outlander RDU. A word of caution. Treat the syncro gearbox gently - it shouldn't be exposed to over 200Nm, 180Nm is better, and keep your throtramp gentle. It's a tough gearbox, but it doesn't handle more ...

Using 16 ioniq modules in the Datsun 720, so only have 13 undamaged modules left.
we want 200km range out of the doka so 38kWh wont cut it.

Visual differences in the 2021 and 2016 j1772 plug

“Top” is 2021, “bottom” is 2016

Notice the difference in pp resistor plugs (which are hidden under the rubber boot normally)

I noticed some other strange behaviour outside of the ev system (I did not wire the rest of the truck) and found what looks to be some ground loops, shop partner is now tearing down the truck and going through everything.

Meanwhile I will setup the ev system isolated and test from there

I’m still up on the bench right now so the brake swich is not connected but I ...
