Ok, thanks for the answers.
@tom91: First of all the plan is to combine the OI mainboard V3 and the OI CCS controller.
I hope I understand it right. The goal is to bring all new EV hardware like mainboard, CCS, BMS.... to the drive train can bus. Beforehand I have to be sure, that there are no ...

Multiple OI Boards Communication
Actually we have a converted VW T5 with different non OI components. Now we're in the process to add an OI mainboard to get rid of the original ECU with the side effect of getting back some original functionality. So far so good. One of the projects this year will be to add OI CCS and maybe to do an ...

Exact Dimensions Battery case MEB
We are thinking to change the battery of our T5 Multivan conversion. It seems that a VW MEB battery case fits behind the front frame. Here https://www.batterydesign.net/vw-benchmarking-id3-id4-id5-and-id-buzz/ I found the dimensions of the battery case, but I need more information about that.

Re: New parameter CAN Bus
Have you seen this? https://github.com/jsphuebner/stm32-car
I have partially hard coded some CAN messages and dynamically mapped others. Maybe serves as a template for what you want to do.
So am I right that you include a part of the stm32-car code in the firmware you use on your brain board ...

Re: New parameter CAN Bus
Yes it goes beyond your conversion and I have a CAN sniffer to get logs etc.. Did that to check which messages are on the bus and which are relevant. Just want to know how to configure the brain board to send several CAN messages to emulate the some parts of the original ECU like you did. So where ...

Re: New parameter CAN Bus
So I'm driving a VW Multivan T5.2. Actually I use the brain board rev.3. The idea is to get rid of the original ECU, cause we have some challenges with that. We use a Tesla SDU drive train with a Curtis controller. So the problem is that several things are not working. No heated seats and no heated ...

New parameter CAN Bus
I try to deal with the CAN topic. Car is running basically and everything is fine, but there are still silly messages in the dash like 'Motorstoerung Werkstatt'. As far as I know I use the CAN ID 0x480 byte 6 bit 4 set it to zero and that's it. Using the command line or web interface allows only to ...

Thanks for the fast reply. I'm just asking cause my papers are really detailed. Which cells, which inverter etc. The only thing which is missing is the color of the socks the mechanic is wearing during the swap of the car

Change to CCS new TÜV Than?
Hi guys,
actually we have only a Type 2 for AC charging in our Bus. We plan to use the openinverter CCS board to implement fast charging in the car. We started with the change from the Type 2 inlet to a combined one for AC and DC charging.
Having a look in the papers of the car there is a section ...

Re: Foccci integration with OBCs
Maybe it's possible to use the connected AC to switch between two ways of generating the signals. Splitting up the lines of CP and PP and include a simple circuit for generating the signal or do a direct connect to the OBC if needed.
As standard foccci is active. If AC is plugged in a kind of relay ...

Sorry was busy for a long time.
So the plan is to remove the original engine control unit and start with the Bain Board Rev3. I hope to get my problems fixed with the missing DSP and 4x4 control units.

Hi juhu,
maybe I missed the information in this really huge thread. How did you deal with the two signals of the generator DFM and L? I know that L is used to activate high load devices like seat heating or the rear window heating.

I don't have the rights. So I'm not able to extend the wiki.
If it's possible to give them to me I would enter my TÜV contact and the contacts of the thread uhi22 mentioned

Hi Marcexec,
as I said a big part of the work is done by a company, but we have some ideas to improve that conversion.
For that I'll start a project in the forum to give you all an idea what's going on. That will take some time, cause I'm very busy right now.

Technical acceptance (TÜV in Germany)
In the wiki we have a list which describes what we have to do to get our EV cars legal. Have a look here: https://openinverter.org/wiki/Category:Legalities
What do you guys think about a documentation where we can find locations for technical acceptance for getting converted cars legal? Not every ...

Would someone be so kind to give me the dimensions of the Brain Board V3. My plan is to put it in the original engine control unit and I have no idea whether that fits.
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
I was a silent reader for a long time, but today that will end. There are to many open ends in my brain and now I want to try to sort that a little bit.
First things first. I'm living in Germany in North Rhine-Westphalia. We have a VW T5 Multivan with a Tesla SDU. Basically everything ...
