Re: [WIP] L322 RR Vogue - The beached whale
Hello, I was wondering if you had a GitHub repo I could reference. I have been collecting parts for L322 conversion for a while now. Looking forward to the next installment. Many thanks Max

Re: Understanding ZV VCU Pre-Charge contactor operation at restart
Just to close this out, I ran a couple more tests to be clear on how the pre-charge resistor operates on the ZV.
When restarting after sufficient time to let InvUDC drop below UDCsw, pre-charge brings up InvUDC to UDCsw by closing the pre-charge contactor before closing HV+ contactor. In this case ...

Note now added to the Zombieverter wiki regarding permanent vs ignition on power for the ISA shunt.

Re: Understanding ZV VCU Pre-Charge contactor operation at restart
Few more tests this evening. UDCsw is 30V for each test, pack voltage is 50V. GS450H setup. Multimeter is showing inverter input voltage and LED's show which contactors close (red = negative, orange = precharge, green = positive. Attaching a video and PDF plot for each test below.

Ok, I can easily swap the shunt power setup for a comparison test, hopefully later this evening.

Re: Understanding ZV VCU Pre-Charge contactor operation at restart
Hi Tom,
Yes, using an ISA shunt for UDC (powered on at ignition on). I'll do some more tests restarting both above and below UDCsw for more data points.

Re: Understanding ZV VCU Pre-Charge contactor operation at restart
I got a little time to do some logging this evening. I am running a GS450H setup and observe the same behavior (only negative and positive contactors come on after a quick restart) with both the current V2.30A firmware and a modified version of this in which I added a Jaguar Land Rover vehicle class ...

Understanding ZV VCU Pre-Charge contactor operation at restart
I want to understand what could appear to be quirky pre-charge contactor operation with the Zombieverter VCU. Video links below show what's happening and this is with a 50V test battery only (so may be part of the reason). I know the pre-charge contactor comes on before the positive contactor and ...

Re: CAN / LIN Bus Logging Road Trip
Not sure if this will be of any use. I tried to work through EVBreakers' advertised vehicles for breaking separating out year and trim. There's a column that could track the component/system of interest against any make/model. If helpful, what's the best way to make it editable for everyone else ...

Re: GS450H Adapter Plate
The spline center is turned down from the center section of the standard GS450H flex disc and the spacer is off the shelf mechanical tube. I welded these together, but others have made bolted versions using the same centre spline section without removing the four legs! Check out Greg's 450H videos ...

In a similar line to your current setup, these additions can be handy. Diy ramp and removable centre section so can can be driven onto the four wheel stands...then remove the ramp and mid section.

Re: [WIP] L322 RR Vogue - The beached whale
I'll be reorginising the order of the modules compared to the original X5 pack layout, which means the original BMS slave connectors don't reach or are in different order.
Anyone know if the BMS loom needs to retain the order of modules or if its ok to connect them to the closest modules regardles ...

Battery boxin':
Got the aluminium welded battery box back and working on a mounting detail that makes use of the original battery box mounting frame. Keeping the original transfer case and the rear prop over complicate things a little!

Re: [ WIP ]Bmw e39 + GS450h
Did you already have an ISA previously? If so, and you're changing at least the two main contactors, neatest solution sounds like moveing away from the S-Box/hybrid idea. I toyed with the same thing and if the S-Box isolation monitoring was fully working, it would be a benefit. But to me it sounds ...
