Re: [WIP] L322 RR Vogue - The beached whale
I'll be reorginising the order of the modules compared to the original X5 pack layout, which means the original BMS slave connectors don't reach or are in different order.
Anyone know if the BMS loom needs to retain the order of modules or if its ok to connect them to the closest modules regardles ...

Battery boxin':
Got the aluminium welded battery box back and working on a mounting detail that makes use of the original battery box mounting frame. Keeping the original transfer case and the rear prop over complicate things a little!

Re: [ WIP ]Bmw e39 + GS450h
Did you already have an ISA previously? If so, and you're changing at least the two main contactors, neatest solution sounds like moveing away from the S-Box/hybrid idea. I toyed with the same thing and if the S-Box isolation monitoring was fully working, it would be a benefit. But to me it sounds ...

How's the project going mate? Dublin hackerspace summer meeting and Dublin Maker are up in August :)
I've been off on other projects, but should get the fully welded battery box back this week! And as with many projects, I'd go about these a little different the next time! Unfortunately though ...

Nice! So this could be a neat way for selecting presets, with a range of parameters under each preset - eco, sport, etc with things like throttle response and currant limits different for each preset!

Re: [WIP] 1976 Land Cruiser FJ-55 to EVJ-55
That's the LS600H but its missing the transfer box to get the AWD in those photos. Make sure you get the transfer case, and ideally the front and rear prop shaft. I presume you'd plan on retaining the original front and rear diffs? (incase it would be worth considering taking the lexus diffs if they ...

Curious if anyone has experience welding any of the BMW battery pack aluminium material, and if it welded ok!? Stamped as a 6127 grade which should be ok with 5356 rods. I have a plan

Re: [WIP] Voltswagen T2 -76
I modelled these in Solidworks and have all the DXF's I can share if useful. I had them profiled from a cheaper plastic so the cut edges weren't great and I had to do some filing at corners. I'd go a more rigid PTFE or similar to get a good cut edge as the parts slot together to form the assembly ...

Re: [WIP] Voltswagen T2 -76
If you have the Model 3 battery modules already, make sure to regularly check cell tap voltages...seeing cases where randomly cell blocks can start dropping voltage, and I have a case where I didn't notice in time and now one module is scrap! This was while they were in storage during the build

I battled with a range of module mounting options for these too. Some detail on ideas I had to try reduce parts and complexity:

Looked at 3D printing and others on the forum have modelled versions of these I think, but wasn't happy to go that route as its inside an enclosed HVJB. Worked a solution using the parts I had in the end
