Re: [DRIVING] VW Touran powered by Nissan Leaf [FINISHED]
That's the thing, quite a lot. Not so much off-throttle but brake blending regen up to 40% of acceleration torque.
Hm... this is why i prefer to have only off throttle regen. Maybe 10kW at 50km/h and 40kW at 120km/h. Brake system i prefer to keep mechanical since there is still ABS and other ...

surprised you didnt op to put the leaf gearbox in, but i guess this is now just mechanic work, rather than a "project"

As arber suggested a lot of metal was in the oil. Did we use the wrong oil? Did we not fill up all the way? Or is the gear box just old? Who knows. This time I know I need to get 2.5l in there and the oil came with the gear box.
While at it I also inspected the shaft coupler and splines and ...

No need for CAN or coms at the moment.
I'm currently attempting to get them to activate balancing while the cells are at lower voltages (2.7-2.8v). I've been adjusting equalization settings this eve and balancing still will not active. I can take screenshots of what it has.

Re: 1st test drive in the car!!!!
So I finally did some more diag and found that my 100W 50ohm precharge resistor was blown. This was after many, many starts. I initially replaced with 100W 100ohm resistors and realized I was going the wrong way as they blew as soon as I turned the system on (again never got out of precharge).

Today i went to replace the inverter to test if newer had more torque.

I never tested if 180Vdc is truly the minimum voltage for Leaf inverter, i guess i trust Damien... because he s doing it wrong!

Here you can find the files for the RPM speedo board
I was mashing it together at the time so i didnt make a schematic, just the board.
Components are all in the PCB file.

I made my own design now with the same form and signal pinout in mind. That way if i would replace first VCU with my board the thing would directly work with the teensy chip and cable harness. The only difference would be the new expanded input, output pins with two new analog pins.
