Re: Sound generator possibilities of implementation
Did you also have success with the software version 1.00 VESS? I was not able to convince it to play. But now managed to copy the SW 1.01 from the good unit, and flash it on the old unit. Now it plays :-)
Documentation of the update procedure is on github: https://github.com/uhi22 ...

Re: Sound generator possibilities of implementation
500kBaud, and you need a termination resistor between the CAN lines. Current consumption looks okay. You could check with oscilloscope whether the CAN talks.
Yeah today on my drive to work it came to my mind that i should meassure the can bus termination, I added the resistor just now and its ...

Re: Sound generator possibilities of implementation
Had a closer look to the Hyundai Ioniq VESS, which may be uses the same concept as the Kona. Looks like these offer good opportunities to add an own sound. The sound samples (for driving, reverse bing and annoying beeeep) are stored in a SPI flash, and played by the Yamaha sound chip in different ...

Re: ZombieVerter Support for Dual Motor Setup?
For now, the most logical solution seems to be building just one motor in the front, with the option to add another in the back later. I can’t imagine it will be that easy to synchronize both motors. Besides, I think the German TÜV inspector would appreciate the simplicity of front-wheel drive, as ...

ZombieVerter Support for Dual Motor Setup?
Hey guys,
I’m planning to convert a Golf MK3 Cabrio into an AWD electric car using two Tesla SDUs. I already have one motor, two OpenInverter boards, and a ZombieVerter. However, before purchasing the second motor, I want to confirm whether it’s actually possible to control two motors. Does the ...

Hey guys,
I am looking to buy a Tesla Model 3/Y Power Conversion Unit (3-phase version). Shipping would be to Germany. Perhaps someone here is selling one or can provide valid part numbers for the 3-phase version, as there doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer regarding which part numbers ...

Re: Fisker Ocean
Hello everyone, I'm in the process of building an energy storage system with a Fisker Ocean NCM battery, unfortunately I don't have the car and therefore I can't create any CAN logs. Can any of you upload your CAN logs of the EV_CAN in HV_Active mode? Thanks in advance
