Thanks. There's already a 1k5 in the car-side socket, so if the extra checking circuit is going to be skipped, that resistor can just be left there. Makes it all very simple.

Three months later and no change in status, and I thought I'd revisit this topic. In particular, I'm interested in the part where the prototype uses an Arduino to monitor the PP-PE voltage at the car end of things so it can disconnect the PP signal at the charger end. I'm trying to find information about the Charging Confirmation signal on GB/T connections, and how it differs from Proximity Pilot used in CCS and CCS2. I'm not having much luck, other than references to a 30v signal. Any clues, or suggestions on where to look?

FYI, the MY24 converter has a slightly different part number: EKEA-2126080A. It also has two more pins connected -- pins 14 and 18. They match the CAN colouring convention of pink and violet, but that doesn't jive with the DB-EVCC-500 docs. See the (better) first pic below, compared with the second ...
