Hello there
Got my Ldu working perfectly in manual mode,
But when i chose to test with encoder the problem starts,
I have replaced arm microprocessor because I thought inputs was damaged, now its replaced and programmed with st-link. Unfortunately it is the same problem, also replaced the sensor.
My concern is that microprocessor sense signal from igbt controllers may be different due to new igbt chip, is that possible outcome?
What fault triggers encoder error?
/Best regards Fredrik

Re: Newer ending problem with encoder
Ahhh this is one to check with Johannes but I would suggest starting in single Channel mode.
Further make sure the encoder is actually outputting a correct differential signal. Next thing is the direction of the encoder in relation to the motor.
Encoder faults can be anything so I would suggest starting with single Channel and if that works the direction check.
If you make a fast round and a slow round the counted increments should be egual.

Re: Newer ending problem with encoder
Tested with single encoder but the same problem unfortunately, Works perfectly in manual mode.
I have counted teeth with my oscilloscope and encoder works fine, even tested with a new one.
I didn't have any time to continue troubleshooting, so I ordered a new openinverter LDU board.
Hope that will solve my problem

Re: Newer ending problem with encoder
Got my new LDU inverter board, installed it and everything works Perfekt

Great!
Would be interesting to know what it was. In order of probability I would think

- Wrong parameters (the new board came pre-configured)
- Cold solder joint on connector
- Cold solder joint/failure on some other component of the signal path

Re: Newer ending problem with encoder
Got exactly the same parameter set and Jon wolks modified bin file. First tested with preset and then wolks.
I think there are som problem with some component at signal side of the board, have not checked soldering around the board yet but the connectors and power circuit are checked and ok
Cable harness is exaktly the same, I've made a test harness when i began the search.

Re: Newer ending problem with encoder [SOLVED]
Have you ever looked at the speed values? When I am in single mode, all values are displayed correctly, in AB mode the motor runs just as quietly, but the speed display jumps in steps of 41, i.e. 0/41/82/123/164 ....

Re: Newer ending problem with encoder
Speed calculation is handled differently between AB and single, so that's well possible.
