my opinion is exactly the same. somewhere the soldering contact on the control board is missing.

It appears that replacing the control board has solved the problem. I may in the future attempt to resolder my v4 board's connectors, but for now, the new v6 board from Westside EV seems to be working correctly. I'll be back to tuning this weekend.
If at first you don't succeed, buy a bigger hammer.
