Hi there, i have issue with manual mode start.
I get "Start command failed"
I've got my canlite board connected with the Tesla SDU with our open inverter board installed,
I've set the UDC paramters both to 0 and set the variables as mentioned on the wiki "enter like 1Hz for „Fslipspnt“ and some value between 10-50 for „ampnom“ to see if the motor spins up."
I get no actual errors, i simply see this in dashboard
Status BrakeCheck
Opmode Off
Last error NONE
Battery voltage (udc) 72.0625
Inverter temperature 24.125
I only have !2v, ground and can connected to the SDU, do i need anything else? Am i missing something? do i need direction to be connection / brake etc? as none of this is mentioned in the wiki for simple motor spin test.
Thanks in advanced

Re: SDU Inverter manual mode with canlite trouble shoot
Valid question. Those things you mentioned can already be viewed in Off-mode.
For a spin up test you can also set udcsw=0 and udcmin=0 and start the inverter with manualstart=On. Then test with the throttle

Re: SDU Inverter manual mode with canlite trouble shoot
Ok, i've set udcsw / udcmin = 0 and manualstart = on and i can see POT moving correctly in spot values when checking throttle but no response on the motor...
i've also set direction to defaultforward just incase that was an issue.
This is my first time setting up open inverter so please let me know if i need to add brake switch or anything else?

On every step please attach the result of http://192.168.4.1/cmd?cmd=json as a text file
On your first post status was BrakeCheck which means you have to hit the brake pedal once to be able to start. Or disable cruisecontrol with cruisemode=Off

Re: SDU Inverter manual mode with canlite trouble shoot
Amazing stuff, we've now got the motor spinning (Cruisecontrol = off) thank you for your help - the SDU FAQ page is missing a lot of context which would have helped, whilst it's fresh, i'm happy to help write up some answers to the FAQ which i think would help if that at all helps you guys. appreciate the fast replies!johu wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 2:24 pm On every step please attach the result of http://192.168.4.1/cmd?cmd=json as a text file
