GS450H motor - Should HV wire shielding look like this? What are these connectors?

Post by Dan--T »

Hi, I've got my GS450h motor/transmission out of the car now and have been checking it over.

The braiding around the HV cables as it goes into the connector on the box looks a bit strange to me being exposed to the elements and ratty. Is this how they are suppposed to be/look? -

Also, can somebody tell me the purpose of these two connectors? - They seem to be a gland seal with connectors on the inside of the box, one of them got a little damaged when removing the box/harness, so I want to understand what they are and if they're important.

Thanks

It's regular shielding. All good.

Ah ok they're important then, I might need to buy some new harness connectors for then then, but I'll leave the HV harness alone

Thanks for the advice
