VCU the Stock Model3 Drivetrain in a Tesla Model3P

Post by ESport »

Hello all.

I am Sascha from E-Sport in Switzerland. We are testing and thinking about doing a Tesla model3 usable on track.

Therefore we need to change some parameters and limitations the oem software has.

After lot of trying we found quickly out that programing the CAN is to complex on the tesla, thats why we are changing the idea and want to try going standalone with AEM or Motec, but keep the oem Motors and battery. I know we need to change the BMS of the batterys to have full accses in the limitations of temp, current and voltage, but as it looks like the AEM can not comunicate with the stock Model3 Motors of the tesla. Thats why we try to find a solution to controll the car for track and programming our own parameters, limitations and foldbacks.

Do has anybody a idea what challenges this will brings? Or did sombodya already somthign similar?

Best regards from rainy Switzerland, Sascha!
