Hey there,
I’m setting up a small solar farm in a remote spot with no internet and patchy cell service. We’ve got 8 Growatt inverters, all MAX 125KTL3-X LV models. The Growatt app typically needs an online connection (not ideal for out here!), but there’s an offline mode that lets me connect directly to each inverter.
I’m trying to monitor all the inverters at once using RS485 connections. When I hook up just one inverter to my server, the data flows smoothly. But when I add another inverter, everything stops—no data at all.
My hunch is that all the inverters are using the same default Modbus ID (probably 1), which might be causing a conflict. I’ve looked through the app but can’t find any way to change the IDs.
On top of that, when I try to access the web admin panel at 192.168.10.100, I’m asked for a username and password. The default is supposed to be admin/admin, but it’s not working. I’ve tried all sorts of combinations—different cases for “admin,” things like “0000” or “12345,” you name it—but I’m locked out. These inverters are brand new, so I’m confused about whether the password could’ve been changed already. More critically, how can I set unique Modbus IDs for each inverter to get them all talking properly?
Any tips or insights would be awesome! Thanks!
