Wouldn't be it better to have a poll down e.g. 2kohms mounted inside the inverter , so that I externaly just need to interrupt the line?
Further more I am a bit worried, as it is the 5V supply line of the micor , then running in parallel to the HV cables, to get disturbance.

You could pull it up internally with 1k or so and pull it down externally for emergency stop

Like shown in the picture? What do you think of cutting the rs232 traces of and connecting the HVIL emergency stop except?

I know chances are quite small , but how can I still protect the motor from a loose cable potentially destroying the sdu ?

Which cable? and if the chance is small why do it if the result is acceptable to the relationship of the occurrence?
