Finally i went and replaced aging shocks on mazda. Sometime ago i did the front shocks and i was really pleased with the result.
So now that i need to servece brakes and replace rear discs i decided to also replace the shocks...
Parts on the rear axle... I ordered shocks and top caps from Autodoc, SACHS 280 485 Shock absorber for MAZDA MX-3 From the past i used the top shelf with long bolts which allowed me to fit 30mm aluminum inserts over each shock.
I made those inserts fitted to the old caps, but it seems like they will fit to the new caps as well... First i removed the old shocks and cleaned the inserts, sanded them and brushed Difference old to new. You see the longer studs on the old shelf. I had to cut them off from the board and switch them to the new shelf. Tack them in place and weld themdown....
