Post your params you currently have set.

Speed is MG2 for the IS300h, so try plotting that.

I am still convinced you got a wiring or power supply issue.

somehow I`m not getting further.

I have several issues:

The WIFI connection to the interface seems to be quite unreliable, sometimes parameters are not displayed, I have to reload the page often. Quite annoying, can I connect the Zombie via cable to my laptop to avoid having to use WIFI?

Sometimes the inverter does not come alive: when I switch on the Zombie and carry out the starting sequence, sometimes the inverter does not come up. I have to power cycle the Zombie then several times until it finally works...

And finally I still do not get this thing to spin. When I press the throttle very gently and release it again, the motor spins for one or two revolutions, but often in different directions (forwards / backwards). So I assume the electric power supply is sufficient to get it to spin, yet there is another issue.

I tried to shield the resolver cables by wrapping them in aluminium foil,... no difference.

@ Jacobsmess: regarding checking the reported speed of the inverter, I still did not find a corresponding spot value. Are you reffering to "speed" as a spot value?

Tom above has answered this

Please post your params so I can go through and tell you what to change.

Does the output shaft spin freely by hand? Are you trying to spin 2 motors at once of have you set it to spin just MG2?

This was my test setup roughly a year ago. The comms cables are twisted pairs and shielded and so is the resolver cable.

attached are my parameters.

Yes, I can spin the shaft by hand, have to overcome an initial resistance (feels like magnetic force) but I assume thats normal.

If you do not find any wrong settings in my parameters, I will try a different power source and shielded comm cables...

I already tried to plot "speed" but it's a flatline. I assume "speed" is linked to the output shaft, if the shaft doesn't spin why expect any other value than zero?

Tried to spin MG1, MG2, MG1 & 2 and MG 1 & 2 blended, no success.

Please read and stop making assumptions.

How when and what. Did you plot it while spinning the output flange?

set MotActive to MG2
set regenmax to 0

Show all your spot values with the Zombie in RUN mode. Just save the webpage as pdf via print.

Yes, spinned the flange by hand as fast as I could, probably 60 rev / min... Plot showed Zero.
Inverter was in run mode.

MotActive set to MG2
regenmax set to 0

Spot values with the above new parameters:

spun the shaft by hand while plotted "speed" (inverter in run & direction foward):

I'll try to get some batteries now that I can draw more amps.

one more question, just found in my notes that there should be 60 Ohms between each sync serial wire pair (e.g. between CLK+ and CLK-) as a check if the wiring is ok. Cannot find the source of this information any more, I think it was in one of Damien's videos.

Where to measure that, is it the pins on the inverter side or on Zombie side? I unplugged the connector on the Zombie side and measured between the four sync serial pins/wires that run to the inverter. I measured 120 Ohms between each pair, not 60...?

took three 12 V lead-acid batteries and connected them in series (36 V) as HV power source.
Basically same behaviour, the output shaft just rattles / shudders but does not spin.

I just realized that "idc" shows a negative value, is this correct or did I switch polarities?

here is a plot with idc:

Solved the problem. Pinning from the resolver to the inverter was not correct (I made a mistake when I transferred the wiring information to an excel sheet, and then only checked the pinning against this wrong sheet...).

30V and approx. 1,5 Amp was enough to get MG2 to spin. Cables from the resolvers to the inverter were not shielded, so for a basic bench test apparently any type of cables are ok (as long as the pinning is correct... ;)
