I forgot to ask a very important question. Would normal scanners like launch and autel work on this car ? Or the gateway causes issues? I disconnected the wiring harness from the door. Can't see any crushed or damaged cables

The (very) budget tools I tried didn't work for me so I purchased ScanDoc. It works great on the OBD port but does complain occasionally about "anti theft device detected".

Project Gus has had good results using OBDLink LX dongle and an android app. See viewtopic.php?p=78617#p78617

Any modern professional grade scanner should give acceptable results.

I am using LAUNCH X431 Pros Elite V+ Pro3S+ Bidirectional Car Diagnostic Scanner Coding.

Disconnected the wiring harness at the left hand side door.

Now i heard that someone cut two wires in that car to test something. I have yet to find those cut wires.

what does the LAUNCH see when you have the wiring disconnected?
Any codes from anything?

What did it see when you had the pugs connected?

I will have to check that. It started to rain and the car is not at my place. So I could not carry out the investigation

Latest update found two wires that were cut close to the bonnet handle. Fixed them temperate back on the dashboard.

Still doesn't start but i have yet to scan the car again

Before repairing these two wires there was almost no communication with the modules


They stole the brake switch so one more issue solved

* I would consider the "P-CAN Bus off" and related P-CAN errors still as critical error. A stable communication on the P-CAN is essential to drive. Maybe you find somebody with a CANoe/CANalyzer for detailled bus logging, or just SavvyCAN to get an impression what is going on.
* The "E-comp interlock fault" means that the HV connector on the compressor is not fitted (or broken wire or something), this sounds like drive-preventing.
* Also the C-Can bus off of the E-Shifter sounds critical. Also for this, an analysis of the CAN communication on this bus may help.

I think i have can modules i bought sometime ago. Need to look for them. I also installed can hacker.
Joining the wires to just replace the brake switch brought the shifter back to drive and neutral.

Will try and find a brake switch and move on.
Will also replace the 12 volt battery. Getting unstable battery voltage
Hopefully some more issues would be cleared

The car finally started and can be driven around. After replacing 12v battery and the stop switch.

With all the error codes you still had I thought you'd still be some way off.

I'm a bit puzzled now. There's only a fault in the passenger door sensor. Which is of course damaged.

The other faults cleared after replacing temperature sensor brake switch and 12v battery.
I don't know what's wrong with the igpcm. It was written faulty on it and it was changed. But there's no fault for now. Anyway the one i ordered is on its way.

So after restoring communication the battery and brake switch the car was up and running.
At the dealer they had replaced the battery the igpcm stole the brake switch temperature sensor and cut two communication wires.
Conclusion good 12v battery very important else you can have multiple communication faults

Use the VIN on your car to get your P/N then the VIN on the donor to see if it's the same P/N. Different P/N usually means it won't fit.
