There's no indication of phase-out yet. The current shortage affects the entire family.

I've already ported libopeninv to work with the F4 series. Didn't take too long. So I think once they actually announce end of life there is still enough time to react.

STM32F103C8T6 the "blue pill" chip. its not a viable option to transplant onto oi boards because of flaky IO? or was the issue the result of the break out board?

I secured a number of boards from JLCPCB because suddenly they had a few 100 STM32 in stock. I also got some STM32 from a broker, so supply is secured for the next couple of month. I have dropped some of the prices accordingly.

Re bluepill: that has the 48 pin variant, OI hardware uses the 64 pin

Sorry, I totally missed that and just saw it now. I got the F103s from a friend with good connections to China.
