Ok , I have come to realize using a Smart car drive system was the worst idea .

Now I am wondering if there is a way to use the 17kw Smart battery with a TESLA drive motor and some other charger . Has anybody here played around with the Smart B.M ? Please and thank you in advance .

Another option is to use the smart car drive unit with a different inverter that you can control. eg prius. Or we can look at hacking the smart inverter.

Lets talk about hacking the Smart car inverter . Would it need to be shipped to you ? With the inverter being hacked would the battery BM need to be hacked as well ?

Yes I would need to have it to work on and figure stuff out in order to design a control board. If the battery can be made to work standalone then no need to hack that.

In the 2015 Smart they used a Accumotive battery and after doing a Google search I found out they are just a division of Mercedes Benz
Has anybody here played around with the batteries or the BM instill the battery case ?? I am trying to activate the battery without opening up the case but it looks like I might just have to drop it and drill out the crap load of rivets

.

The bms in these situations typically uses CAN and hardware lines to enable. I'd say your only option is to open it up. Sorry.

Smart battery is assembled like a swiss watch with no user friendly bolts, nuts and connecting straps. Instead the cells interconnect with crimped/riveted/whatever making it difficult to swap out dead cells. This is not an avenue to pursue imho.
Better to create a logic board for the Smart inverter (wish upon a star) or else squeeze the prius gen3 inverter into the car and run it with the open logic board (which is what I'm attempting).
