I used the LDU on my build. Dimensions were perfect.

Not sure about the naming convention

Hi, I have a 3D scanner and providing a scanning services. I can scan almost any part for free for this community. I just need a part to do it. I’m local in Miami, FL. Let me know if I can help you somehow ;

Two thigs:
-There is a naming error on grabcad:
Tesla model 3 battery module - short passenger side outboard = Tesla model 3 driver side outboard battery module
-and here is the 4th module:
Tesla Model 3 Drivers side inboard battery module

Hi,
Time to contribute something back. I could only find scans of the front SDU - so scanned and uploaded my rear one here
GrabCAD
It's photogrammetry rather than laser, but It should be accurate within a few mm - but there was some obfuscation around the mounts due to the hoist straps...

Just a note to say don't trust the accuracy of some models, +/-20mm would be a good margin of error. There is a full Model S on Grabcad but it isn't suitable for mockup as it is.

Can you tell me the scaling? It looks way off. If i measure in the grabcad vieuwer distance between 2 mountingpoints is 0.55mm Cant be right?
I would like to have the stp if you can generate it? Or IGES?

Ok so i ended up installing "blender" (see blender.org).
With Blender you can import the OBJ files and modify the mesh to be more relaxed.
This smooths out allot of unneeded and wrong detail.
Also you can easily scale the OBJ part with blender.
You can then export to STL file.
Then with FreeCad you can import the STL and do an conversion to IGES for example, but perhaps your normal CAD program can also import STL already.

I made a drawing of the GEN3 charger. It is not very detailed, but the dimensions are correct.

I would happily rent yours out for a while to fit my mounts.

Grabcad is no more, all files have been deleted according to their blog.
Any chance somebody has a Model 3/4 motor CAD files stored somewhere else?
Thanks,
Mark
