from my understanding pin 11(emergency stop/ motor protection) on jp2 is tide to 12v via the adapter board for the gen 2 leaf inverter.
so theres no pinout for a emergency stop switch on the leaf board?

Indeed not, tried to make the board easier to use by only requiring power. emcystop is also not connected to the break pin on the mainboard V3, so if you want to pull a hardware stop out you need to use mprot.

Okay. From looking at the adapter board pcb cad file, I could cut the board trace (on the adapter board) that connects in_mprot(hw) pin to reserved pin on the rev3?
I started dicking my way threw freePCB and changed the adapter board to use a vertical IDC header + ribbon cable. This would connect to a break out board, ample seal connector. just like the gen3 Prius kit. (Might use a molex connector instead, as those ampseal connectors are a bitch to pin by hand)
I’ll add in a solder bridge on the adapter board to pull pin 11 (in_mprot) to high just for the option of having it or not.
