Just curious as to if its applicable to modify a standard gs450h ev system to bypass boost converter in the original vehicle to add more power thru pushing more amps through the motor and inverter

I have read a heap of the threads about conversions, but has anyone done a power increase in the actual gs450h and kept all other standard features and functions working?

The way to bypass it as per my understanding to Damien videos is to connect the battery cables to the lower positive and negative electrodes like attached photo shows.

Is doing this will actually be it? , no more modification needed?

You'll need a new controller too to actually request the additional torque available. Which likely means other systems will be upset by the 'missing' stock inverter controller board. (You'd need to emulate it by sending the right messages on the CAN bus at least, and play nicely with the ICE ECU... etc)

The stock hybrid ECU controls the transmission by varying the bus voltage for being able to capture all of the power from the ICE. It can't vary the voltage if you connect the battery directly, and even if it could make sense of the situation, you'd lose most of the power capability of the ICE as MG1 would have to produce power into a severely limited bus voltage. Not much sense carrying a 6 cylinder around and being able to pull maybe 30% of original power from it.
