So just got my Tesla Model S Gen 2 charger and I've looked at the install PDF and read the Wiki and watched Damien's videos and being a total newb and non electrical engineer I am looking for your kind input and advice on what harness and plug to get. I am in California, US so looking to start off simple by just 110 volt charging that way I can charge at my girlfriends house and not worry about my wife finding out, ha ha type of thing, going to marry it to the BMW 530e battery pack
pics are appreciated especially of how to wire the high voltage side as that is missing from the documentation I have gathered
please and thank you,
G

Check out Thunderstruck EV's garage sale for a cheap $25 used J1772 inlet with wires. https://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/garage-sale-items-ev/
Remember to ground the charger case.
Since US is single phase you parallel the L wire from the J1772 inlet to all the L inputs on the charger. The wires are labeled in the picture of the open charger about a third of the way down the wiki page. Same for the N wires. https://openinverter.org/wiki/GEN2
Hopefully there's something new here. Enjoying reading your entertaining and detailed build thread.

The Gen 2 tesla charger is rated at 10kw. If you want to maximize it you’ll need an outlet rated for 40amps.
32amo j1772 ports are easy to come by, just make sure you set the charging limit on the charger to not pull more than 30amps during a charge
