I test bench a PCS with Damiens controller, all I could get to work is the dcdc, charging over 14v (tryed to set at 13v but still charges at 14v). Anyway, the charger is in iddle, or off state, with 12v on input1, grounded chasis, all wires double checked.

Oh, and no input type setting, just manual.

I am using a granny cable/charger wich does nothing when I connect it. No errors, just does not trigger to start charging.

Have I done something wrong?
What should I check next?

Any chance you have input 2 connected? Input2 triggers DC-DC when driving, and if it is connected, it won't enable charging, even if input1 is also connected.

Input 2 connected or not , it is not charging... I have a feeling it has something to do with the proximity or control pilot..or maybe input type, its just not triggering the granny to start.

First test was with 230v ac connected directly to charger, I remember that it read the voltage in Spot values, but with no CP and PP I thought that was the problem. Now I wired the type 2 connector with CP and PP conected and nothing positive happened.

I know you said you connected the grounds, but just to confirm, you have all of the grounds connected to each other, correct? 12V, PCS case, control board, and charge port? The PCS is finicky about that.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what's causing the hangup.

Can you be more specific about the charge port ground? The earth wire, PE?

Yeah, the bottom pin of the J1772 port, labeled chassis ground in this image, should connect to the case of the charger and to the chassis of the car. Here's something else to check - in the webinterface, is it showing the correct AC voltage present?

I'm in Europe, I have type2 but that PE would be the ground you are talking.

As for the voltage value, it s not present, but I first tested with no Control Pilot and Proximity pilot, just plugged the N and L1 to wall socket and it read 230v, and experienced the same Off state

Ok so to be clear, its seeing the voltage if you just feed it voltage, but its not seeing the voltage when Control Pilot and Proximity are present as well?

So in 1st setup I just plugged the N and L1 from charger directly to the wall socket, no granny, no type2 connector, no CP or PP. Result was ac in 230v value and Off state

In 2nd setup I wired the Type2 connector (3phaze), CP and PP also wired, conected to Granny charger and then wall socket. Result, granny charger (EVSE) no active charging lights and PCS in off state, and no ac value.

Is there a chance the EVSE is not functioning correctly?

When the granny cable is plugged in, are you saying the CP and PP don't change anything in the spot values (proximity never changes to 'On'?). Did you try other cables to rule out a bad cable?

if its a 3-P PCS, are you wiring to the wiki image: I'm wondering if that labeling is correct, I need to check something tomorrow

Could someone point me to interface information for Damiens PCS controller. Ideally, a manual or wiki.

I would like to know:

Physical interface(s) to control Damien's controller and hence the PCS.

Registers that can be read and written.
