Hi
I'm preparing to convert my 1956 Packard to electric with a Lexus GS450H. I bought a running Lexus about a year ago in Ireland and had it driven down here to Spain. I finally got around now to start taking it apart. Is there anything to save apart from the gearbox, inverter, HV cables, cable harnesses and Oil control box, before I send the car to scrap?

Make sure you keep the flywheel damper assy that has the splined center section so you can lock the input shaft to use both motors. Also keep propshaft and transmission cross member. Shift selector mechanism may be handy. Might want small things like fuseboxes and coolant expansion tank

there should have been a long skinny radiator as well. Good for running the coolant loop through the electronics. I second the shifter since the throw is already perfect for the gear selector on the side of the tranny. Maybe you can incorporate it into a custom center console. Having all the original wiring will be tremendously helpful to you.

Hi any chance you could measure the GS450H mid propshaft length and UJ dimensions?

If it’s the short part I get it to 614mm to center UJ. That is the metal part not including any of the rubber joint. Don’t know how to or what measures you need of the UJ

Amazing thank you. The pin diameter for the UJ and perhaps the UJ width across the legs also if that's not too much trouble?
