Tesla Gen 2 Chargers and V4 control boards
I have ten Tesla Gen 2 10kW chargers that I intend to sell with Damien's V4 control board installed and tested. The price is 1500 Euro each excluding shipping and customs charges (if any). They should be ready to ship at the end of January assuming the control boards arrive on time. If you're interested in purchasing one then please send me a PM and i'll put you on the list of interested parties.
I'm also willing to increase my order and offer a last time buy of V4 control boards. I would recommend this option for anyone outside of Europe who wants to use Gen 2 (shipping heavy chargers is expensive). The price is 500 Euro each excluding shipping and customs charges (if any). They should be ready to ship at the end of January. If you're interested in purchasing one then please send me a PM and i'll put you on the list of interested parties. Please note this offer will close on 31st December 2019 when I will place the final order with the assembly house.
Both items can be collected from SE Ireland if you wish.

Re: Tesla Gen 2 Chargers and V4 control boards
Just a small question. Will the hardware of the v4 board support some sort of fast dc charging in the future or will this feature require a new board design?
I prefer buying a ready board instead of soldering one myself and am considering to order a v4 board this one last time.
On the other hand.... my project will be finished and of 2021.... so maybe waiting for future development will br a smarter idea

Re: Tesla Gen 2 Chargers and V4 control boards
Change log from Damien's GitHub (here);
19/06/19 : Added schematic for V4 logic board design. V4 has the following upgrades over V3 :
-Changed from Type B USB to Mini. This will allow the charger lid to close without modification.
-Added extra stage of filtering to proximity signal.
-Single wire CAN capability added using the NCV7356. Now uses the exact same switching method between pwm control pilot and sw can as used in the Tesla charger / bms boards. This will allow use of Tesla destination charging, Chademo adapter,CCS adapter and possibly supercharging. All software dependent.
-Added two high power DC low side contactor drivers for use with DC fast charge or as general outputs.
-Added 3rd CAN channel based around the MCP2517 controller. Allows for high speed as well as FD Can. This extra can channel will allow the Tesla charger to act as a Chademo controller. Just add contactors and a hall current sensor.
-Two extra filtered and protected 12v digital inputs. General use or chademo control.
-One extra filtered and protected analog input. General use or hall current sensor for chademo control.
Untested as of this date.

I assume the latest boards will be available as a complete unit in 6-8 months time as well?

Now that Damien's boards are available once again I'll keep the chargers for local users. Lots Gen 2 chargers in the US if you're looking for one;CanadaLT28 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 12:18 pm I assume the latest boards will be available as a complete unit in 6-8 months time as well?

Yes, the charger is not the issue, just the control of it and it's nice to have the new board take care of DC charging as well, especially from the point of view of a software skill deficient EV builder.

Remember this is untested and requires someone to pick up the development effort.CanadaLT28 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 1:47 pm it's nice to have the new board take care of DC charging as well
