MG ZS EV Shift Controller

There's no MG subsection so I'll ask here.
I'm using a Tesla SDU w/OI in a Honda S2000 (hmm, no mention of MG yet?).
BUT, I'm using the battery and other electronics out of an MG ZS EV (Ahh, there it is!).
The OpenInverter board simple uses a three position switch for shift select. I have it wired as Up for Forward, Centre for Neutral, Down for reverse. But the MG comes with a nice rotary controller I'd like to implement. From the docs I have it is simply a CAMbus device that receives and sends CAN signals to select condition and illuminate feedback lights. It requires 12v on three lines (power, ignition, and ready), GND, and CAN Hi and Lo. If I connect to an Arduino board I can receive the signals and operate relays in place of the switch.
My question (finally) is does anyone have experience with the MG ZS EV shift controller mechanism and more specifically the pint of the connector?
