X1 Hybrid F48 LCI EME Temp sensor

Post by Venigo »

Hi all!

I have registered on the forum regarding to learn some more about electric, hybrid vehicles (was just reading the forum before about home inverters and energy storage, but now I am stuck on some stuff with a project) and the following issue:

I am looking for information about the EME module (part number: 12 36 9 470 891) of a BMW X1 F48 LCI.

Specifically, I am interested in the following error codes:

0316CA: Emergency run manager - subsequent error - EM 2 - freewheel active
22331F: Claw clutch - coordinator - switching not possible - BA EM2 invalid
03157F: Inverter 2 combustion remote - temperature sensor - phase V 2 - upper threshold exceeded
2233BA: Inverter 2 remote combustion low temperature circuit - cooling performance implausible
031582: Inverter 2 combustion remote - temperature sensor - phase V 2 - signal implausible after redundancy monitoring
03157E: Inverter 2 combustion remote - temperature sensor - phase V 2 - short circuit to ground

I suspect that the ground cable may be improperly connected and could be the root cause (03157E). However, does anyone here have knowledge of what temperature sensor 2 refers to? The dealer, of course, only suggests replacing the entire EME module, while I would prefer a more sustainable approach and repair the specific fault. The inverter also functions again after turning the car off and on, so it appears to be a poorly (small) component.

The error(s) occur sporadically and are not a continuous defect. Does anyone have advice or information on how this can be measured (and subsequently resolved)?

Thank you in advance.
