Controlling BMW E38 with the ZombieVerter VCU

Hello,
Has anyone tried using the ZombieVerter VCU to canbus control an BMW E38? I know it is not in the list of cars supported by the Zombie, but from what I was able to find online, the E38, E39 and E53 share the same canbus protocol and the E39 is supported.
I was wondering if anyone tried it. The E38 seems like it would be a nice car to do a conversion on.
