CAN mapping - Derate motor / brake / reverse light output through VCU

Hi,
We're looking to set up our VCU with the Tesla SDU, we have the openinverter board installed and spinning now but our next challenge is simply getting the functions of Brake / reverse light output signals via CAN to our VCU and also VCU communication to the motor to derate if the BMS has faults.
I'm a total beginner with Openinverter so would appreciate any and all help someone may be able to give to support me in this journey - i'm basically unsure of what paramters i need to adjust or send via the can mapping option which would do the parts i've asked
