Hi, i was about to buy the model 3 rear tesla motor. i noticed the company Ingenext has the simplest way to talk to the stock inverter with there controller kit. i was wondering other alternatives that would be cheaper. i noticed here in the shop you can buy a open board for that motor but there needs to be some work done on it. since years have past with those boards being out, is that still a good way to go or is there better options in todays date?

telsas big drive unit is that considered the S model? and models 3 are the smaller front or rear motors?

No.

Model 3 and model y use the same motors, which ingenx will control. Damien and the gang are working on a replacement boards but it is not available or ready yet.

Older model s and x use large drive units (ldu) and small drive units (sdu) which there are control boards available for in the web shop.
