Hi guys,

we are actually planning to change our T5, working with a Curtis controller, SDU (without original inverter) at 150V, to use the original Tesla inverter with the OI board. The reason for that is the chance to implement CCS charging. Based on the fact that the original car had a DSG several original functionalities are not working, cause the damned original VCU is searching for the DSG. There is no possibility to do a reprogramming via VCDS (VW programming software),to get rid of the DSG software part. There is the need to buy a new VCU with the same old motor configuration with a normal gearbox. As johu did it in his Touran we would like to use the OI mainboard to emulate the original functions we need in the car. Additionally we have to communicate with the OI SDU board and in the future with the OI CCS board.

Reading this thread here: viewtopic.php?t=3609&hilit=zombie+sdu I assume that we should use the mainboard for the start, precharge, main contractors and VW CAN, right? Or is there any other function we should use on the OI mainboard?
All other functions will be delivered via OI SDU?
What about the original VW cruise control? Is that usable via OI SDU?

Go with Zombie VCU + OI SDU board. Zombie handles contactors + CAN to SDU and your FOCCCI for CCS.

Are you also reconfiguring your battery? What are you doing for BMS? What are you doing for AC charging?

The plan is to reuse as much parts as possible. So the battery will be reconfigured to reach the higher voltage. It's based on LiFePo4 cells. AC charing is actually and in the future 10 kW with three Thunderstruck TSM2500. The 123 SmartBMS will be used as well.
