Looking for a BMS for a 72S system

Hi Folks,

I am working on my EV conversion and I am thinking about a BMS solution.

For reasons of mechanical layout, I will have three battery packs.

I would like to have CAN output, integration with Zombieverter and low current drain when not in use as this car won't be a dialy driver.

I like the look of the Flying ADC 16 from the openinverter shop but I would need 5 and that's getting a bit spendy.

I would love to hear your suggestions. What does the panel think?

Thank you.

Andy.

Good point!

The modules are from an eGolf and are Lipos (AFAIK)

Why not use the OEM E-Golf BMS that is on the modules?

The cells are prismatics.

I have looked at the wiki for the VW modules and they need to be arranged in a particular way that doesn't suit the way I want to configure my packs. That's why I am not using them.

Cheers,

Andy.

Shame, as it will now cost you quite a bit to get another BMS on there. The Flying ADC 16 is very cheap for a BMS.

Any BMS that you can rely on is easily >600 gbp
