Hello everyone,

I would like to present my project to you here.

For years, I have been thinking about converting a VW T3 to electric drive. Since then, I have looked at various conversions on the internet.

In 2024, I found and purchased a complete Cupra Born (identical to the ID.3) with approx. 21,000 km from 2022 with rollover damage for very little money.

I thought I could use most of the electrical parts. But... When i looked deeper in the project so i saw, it is not so easy to use electric-parts such as DC/DC converters and chargers from a Born/ID.3. I have since switched to Tesla for the DC/DC converter and onboard charger.

For the motor/inverter, I am currently analysing the structure and pin assignment of the internal plug connection. I will publish pictures and my findings in another thread. I don't think it should be a big problem to get the motor running.

and this is the T3 Doka in which the drive is to be installed.

I apologise for my English, which is not the best and I use DeepL to write.

Could you try reattaching your photos please? Look for an Attachments tab at the bottom.

There’s a few Doka projects here aswell, have a search. Bratitude’s is quite recent.

Don’t apologise about your English - it all makes sense to me :)

Good luck.

I have seen the posts. Most of them use Nissan leaf or Tesla drive units. I will try to use a MEB drive unit from a Cupra Born /ID.3.

Thanks for your interest
