Hello,

we fried our LBC by plugging it in while working on the cables. Now seeking a replacement to re-key or move the ICs over.

I attached a picture of our blown out ICs as a warning to others

It's for a 24kWh 2015 eNV200 sold in the UK.
Part number: 293A04FA2B

What did you do with it ?

As fas as I know there's one good procedure to really destroy the LBC and thats by plugging in the battery module WITHOUT using the intermediate connection cable.
Johannes did it and I have done it also with the same results. So thats definately a tested procedure...

But plugging in and destroying while working on it is new too me....

Ah, we were stupid about it:

We rearranged the battery cells, made nice terminal covers so the HV bus bars can never be put in the wrong place, all fair and well.

But:

1) We plugged in the LBC end before we sorted out the connectors on the other side ( big mistake )
2) We proceeded to hook up the individual connectors being careless about it and it must have briefly made contact with another cell

It did actually work the first one or two times, only on the third iteration of plugging/unplugging did we break it. Live and learn!

I've a 293A04NFxx unit here from a Leaf alright but I don't know if that's any use. That change from NF to FA seems suspiciously like it would relate to the presence of cooling fans (the last two digits are just production related and don't have any bearing on spec as far as I've experienced).

Comparing against your photo, the board is exactly the same in that region at the very least. I'd be slow to commit it to becoming a parts board if there are other blown boards out there you can salvage from instead though.

Just a quick follow up:

Extremetaz LBC arrived in the post on Saturday, so I opened it, checked the ICs, plugged it in, and it worked ( albeit in tortoise mode ). I didn't drive it.

Only issue is, it thinks the battery SoC is lower than it was before, but I suspect the 100% correct and re-keyed LBC will sort that.

We are still after a genuine eNV200 24kWh LBC in case someone has one.

SOC will come right after a full charge cycle.
SOH will take about 5000km to come right from my experience.

Great that it does just plug in - will be keen to hear if there are any speed bumps relating to the pack cooling system.
