General Information
The original cable is shielded to avoid interference from other sources and resulting unwanted acceleration or deceleration.
Sensor | Pin No | Cable Color (for Prius) | Signal Name | Signal Information |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 1 | L | VPA | Signal Output |
2 | B | EPA | GND | |
3 | Y | VCPA | +5V Supply | |
2 | 4 | W | VPA2 | Signal Output |
5 | R | EPA2 | GND | |
6 | G | VCP2 | +5V Supply |
The voltage from both sensors ramps linearly from the fully released position to the fully depressed position[1]. The pedal should be supplied with a reasonable stable and accurate 5V supply to ensure a proper readout.
Pedal Position | Sensor 1 | Sensor 2 |
---|---|---|
Fully Released | 0.8V | 1.6V |
Fully Depressed | 3.6V | 4.4V |
