Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking
Could the transaxle and motor be mounted "in reverse" and then run in reverse and function properly? Can the transaxle run in reverse constantly?

Minimum voltage for an off road buggy application
Hello all sorry if this question has been asked elsewhere
I'm looking to have my first conversion project be a small buggy for the land I just bought, before moving onto a car. Seen some different info on here about the minimum voltage to run recycled inverters, 180v was said for the leaf inverter ...

High RPM out of a lower voltage pack
Hello all. Obviously this question comes from holes in my knowledge base, specifically around motor rpm, inverter boosting capabilities, pack voltage and how they relate.
For example, with a 24s pack, how fast could you spin a leaf or Tesla motor?
If that's a 'wrong question' I'm happy to be ...

Re: Wanting to contribute and try to implement Qt Software front end.
Start with "just" building a front end, and then go from there. I'll look at what you suggested thanks!

Wanting to contribute and try to implement Qt Software front end.
Hello all. I have about 6 months till my shop is built and I can start working on conversions and I'd like to learn more about the software for the open inverter and eventually build a UI for conversions based on the open source software Qt. I'm learning the QML C++ language for the UI, what ...

I'm pretty sure I've watched just about all of Damien's videos. I really appreciate all the work that people have put into this community definitely would not be possible for someone like me to have the level of Understanding that I do without all of y'all's commitment to open source.
Thank you ...

Re: Topic: Pulling inverter and motor from parts car. Any other hardware I should grab?
Thanks for the advice. If I can source one I will definitely get that instead. My long term goals are just a reliable daily driver, and the Lexus CVT tend to be more expensive than the leaf packages, i believe that car is not as common. That being said, coming from years of experience fixing ICE ...

And I fell pray to the 'newbie post with no details' 😂😂. My goals are different from my plans so I'll start with those.
2005 325i donor vehicle(already have almost torn down)
Leaf motor and inverter with rev3
Everything else is up in the air until I can source a battery effectively. Insurance ...

Re: Topic: Pulling inverter and motor from parts car. Any other hardware I should grab?
Thanks for the responses. My initial instinct was to just grab the whole car and it sounds like that is a good idea. Finding a leaf wreck in the us that's not at auction is pretty rare so I think I'm gonna try and get the whole thing.

Topic: Pulling inverter and motor from parts car. Any other hardware I should grab?
Hello all. I am going to be pulling parts from a 2012 Nissan leaf wreck and was wondering if there was any hardware that would be helpful/needed besides motor and inverter?
