Thanks!!
My shifter works, but I don't have enough travel to access the momentary selection beyond drive.
Does this just select the other gearing option that's not set as "normal" in the zombie? If configured to do so?

Re: WIP 1974 Ford Capri + GS450H
Finally able to get access to the car.
Winter is very long here.
De-iced the car completely.
Worked up my battery boxes a little more with a coolant path, worked on the shifter assembly and mocked up a little more stuff.
Excited to get back at it.

Re: Zombieverter + Thunderstruck MCU
If you're using the Thunderstruck charger, it has a 12v output that's active during charging. That's how I wake my vcu. Can also be used as a drive inh although it won't be active if charging is finished but the plug is still in.
There's also a NC relay in the charger that opens during charging ...

Re: Zombieverter + Thunderstruck MCU
Zombie configures the IVT different then default so you will need 2.
Power on the zombie, utilize a 12V input signal to set it to charge mode - possibly need the charge interface set to Chamdemo (or other but can easily be made to work (worst case I code it in)).
As for drive away protection ...

Re: Zombieverter + Thunderstruck MCU
Do you have a CAN spec for the Thunderstruck MCU?
What functions do you want to have the Zombie do and which the Thunderstruck BMS?
Hey.
I want the Zombie to control the 450H with access to the IVT-S can
Then the Thunderstruck MCU to handle the battery charging and management.
I have both ...

Zombieverter + Thunderstruck MCU
I have the zombieverter running my 450h and the battery box contactors.
I have the MCU from Thunderstruck that runs the BMS
Anyone using these two systems combined?
Thanks

Re: [WIP] 1971 Beetle - Tesla SDU and CATL cells
Here's my 2c, would other factors be more influential on the battery temp.? Like a vehicle with multiple battery boxes, some within the engine bay and some within the cabin area, cabin area including the trunk, a sealed area unlike the engine bay.

Re: WIP 1974 Ford Capri + GS450H
Pump issue fixed. Both power sources didn't share a common ground, once the battery and power supply negatives were connected it worked as it should, could also explain why I previously fried the zombie. I guess people should just know this stuff. . . LOL

Sounds like something I've had in the past (see link below). Have you connected the HSDN line to the inverter?

The controller casing is connected to ground yes?

Some progress.
Not sure what happened before, looks like I had a short through the pwm pins.. something happened at the oil pump that I haven't figured out yet.. oil pump doesn't work.
I got the motor to turn though, precharge initiates and it goes to run mode. Still have some gremlins though as ...

Connectivity issues
Hi all.
Is there a way to directly connect to the zombieverter, not using the wifi option?
I get about 20% connectivity and tried various devices with a browser.
Theres a lot of networks in my neighbourhood so maybe they are interfering.
The frustration now deters me from any progress with my ...

ISA shunt CAN pin location [SOLVED]
Hi. 2 different pin locations for CAN2 on the wiki vs D's YT vid.
CAN someone confirm which is correct please.
Many thanks
(My pics a little blurry, but CAN1 and CAN2 are switched)

Re: Battery box
Max amp draw with the lexus inverter is 450amps but it will only pull a fraction of that on cruise. I was considering 1 gauge wire.
My plan was to use a positive contactor inside each battery box but this will make the precharge system in a series setup more complex.
Could the negative contactor ...

Re: Battery box
Thanks for the input.
I'm using 4x a123 packs and the Thunderstruck BMS.
There's no built in cooling.
I'd like to avoid putting any mount holes through the base of the box so there's zero chance of coolant getting into the box.
This might make securing batteries a little more tricky.

Hi all.
I'm attempting to build a battery box, well, 2 boxes that will be linked in series with 2 batteries in each box.
This will be a summer car so I would like to add a cooling function, (36c here today)

It's a good diagram, I've followed it with success on my build. Between that one, and the leaf to zombie diagram & zombie pinout tables on the wiki there is enough to figure it all out
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi.
Has anyone ever modified this drawing to the zombieverter pinout?
This is a great drawing, It will be a great help.
Will be straightforward to assign the correct pins on the zombie.
Has anyone had any future issues following this diagram?
