I collected my battery pack over the weekend, and it went remarkably un-sketchy haha.

This is a 50kWh 108S pack found in a variety of Stellantis vehicles, mine is from a 2022 Vauxhall Corsa-e.

I'm planning my build around the EM57 motor initially with an 80kW inverter I got for very cheap but planning to upgrade pretty much as soon as the car is running, as such I've been reviewing the inverter options available:

Potentially, most of the modules are quite specific to BMS applications though so I think leaving them part of the firmware is fine.

I just envisage a common open source firmware for a variety of BMS boards. In much the same way open inverter supports a variety of inverters.

I'm thinking of reusing a lot of this code for my MAX17823 BMS, for those unaware this would be a master BMS that talks to the built in satellite BMS in OEM modules from Kia, Peugeot, Citroen, Opel and potentially others. In fact I'm wondering what people's opinions are on adding support for ...

Looking at the V627/3 form it seems that most structural modification only have to tick a box but EV conversions have to "provide full details of any modifications".

I love my E91, but be aware of high insurance costs. There's only Adrian flux that I could find to insure.and it's over a grand. No points, no accidents, 20 years no claims.
