Leaf connector CN001
Hi,
I bought a leaf adapter board and mainboard from Johannes shop. Now i'm wondering how to get the pins to populate the connector (cable side) to hookup my throtle, Fwd, Rev...
I haven't been able to fin the connector, or something similar on the TE website.

The connector is "restricted": https://www.te.com/global-en/product-1939561-3.html
I have never pulled a pin from it but I reckon it's standard. Can you pull out an existing pin indestructibly and post a picture here? Some people here are very good at recognizing parts.

Re: Leaf connector CN001
So, I have pulled a pin and took pictures.
To take the pins out you need to unlock them by mouving the white plastic part (as shown in the first image). Easily done with a small flat head screw driver.

I will also send an email to TE, who know maybe they'll tell me what pins to buy.

Very good pictures. I couldn't find a matching one though. Only filtered for "Single Wire Seal"

Re: Leaf connector CN001
So i contacted TE via their online chat, and their answer was basically no :

In the mean time i took appart the main motor loom from the leaf and just for fun took apart the other connectors, and suprise ! The pins are almost the same as CN001.
I've put these pins in CN001 and it worked ! They lock up and every thing.
Here are some pictures of the pins i took out :

Also i've noticed that on the main wiring loom they used the same type of connectors not, i think they might be the same pins inside, i'll look tomorrow.

Re: Leaf connector CN001
Nice job! I reckon some of the pins on the TE web site will fit as well then should you run out of connectors to strip

Also these pins are available directly from Toyota. We sell them to anyone. You just need the part number and how many you need ..

What about the brake output and BMS input? That part of the connector on mine is just blanked off on the back.

Re: Leaf connector CN001
You can't, i think all the connectors are blocked off (mine certainly is). Maybe if you modify the connector (wire side), like drill holes in the spaces needed you can manage to do it.doobedoobedo wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 8:38 pm What about the brake output and BMS input? On the other parts of the harness. Do you have the extraction tool? If you do, do you know the part number?

Re: Leaf connector CN001
No, i found cables with the same type of connector. you have to take out the locking white plastic part https://imgur.com/a/Pq73LHv on the first image. Pull gently on the wire and it should come out.
The connectors i took the pins out between 6 and 10 wires attached. it was the same locking mecanism as on the CN001.
