Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
Hi again. Is there a chance to update my count?
A friend would like to join in with another 24 module pack. I will get them in his name.
Same conditions apply as for mine. So i am in for 48 modules together.
tnx

Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
I guess I could commit to a single pack of six modules, if I can come and pick it up myself from Tallinn. If someone might offer some further details about this deal I would be interested in more..

Are there any Australians or Kiwis interested in this deal?
Or has the available stocks already been consumed?

Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
In my ignorance, I am assuming that shipping/customs/tax etc would make it prohibitively expensive to get a set to me here in Australia. But if we can work out economical shipping etc. I'd be interested in 24 modules, i.e. a 36kWh lot.mackoffgrid wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 8:34 pm Are there any Australians or Kiwis interested in this deal?

Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
One way or another I'll most likely will be importing batteries from somewhere, and soon, whether that will be Leafs or BMW or LTO.
I'll be looking at 36kW also, maybe more. Importing seems to cost between $2000 to $3000 AUD where the actual freight / transport component is relatively minor. And there is GST as well .
Cheers
Andrew

Kiwi here. Have already registered my interest. Would there be a shipping advantage if shared with the Aussies?

Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
Silly question time
And probably getting ahead of myself fought up with with fine details
Assuming we are successful .... Since some these batteries are not all going to be 96s out of the box as I expect they will be made up of for example BMW 330e which are only 5 modules each could I ask the following :
im assuming that the 5 modules packs would be kept as is ?
the extra module would be loose?
if in my case i have put down for 12 that would be 2 x 5 module packs, would we be trying keep the loose modules from the same (3rd) pack?
Could we have the option [depending on availability] to buy in my case lets say 15 modules instead of 12? [so i could either run 112s2p (plus spare) or 80s3p]
it doesn't really effect anything just curious really.
NOTE: Edited as old question was a little off

Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
I was going to wait until my car is running but at this price I can't say no so put me down for 40kWh.
If it helps I live in Co. Armagh and own a van so willing to collect for others and bring into UK or Ireland for as near cost price as I can make it. Depending on where the container is landed of course.

Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
Is there any time frame on when this might move forward or do we still need more volume?
Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
Hi I'm new here, but interested in 12 modules - depending on the feasibility of shipping to Australia.
I think there may be other Aussies who are looking at shipping as a group?

Michael, I am also one of the interested Australians.
I'd be interested in 36 modules.

Am also interested in joining this group buy. I am UK based.
My project design is not decided yet as am signed up for the course in Ireland in the Autumn but happy to commit now for at least 24 modules.
