Front SDU overall width?
Front SDU overall width?
Anyone with a Front SDU laying around? Curious what the overall width is on one of these.

If at first you don't succeed, buy a bigger hammer.

Ive had that downloaded for a while.P.S.Mangelsdorf wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:44 pm https://grabcad.com/library/tesla-front ... -3d-scan-1
The scaling goes to shit when I import it to Fusion360. I need some sort of stable reference point.

Re: Front SDU overall width?
STL files are dimensionless. Engineering units are either mm or inches (people who use centimeters should be slowly beaten to death with wooden rulers).
If the scaling is wrong, then try importing the file with you units set differently.

I was able to download an f3d format file. That worked fine. .stl's always screw me up.SciroccoEV wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 11:47 pm STL files are dimensionless. Engineering units are either mm or inches (people who use centimeters should be slowly beaten to death with wooden rulers).

Please do NOT message me for the link.
The fix is very simple, import the STL as described here:

Re: Front SDU overall width?
Hi Forum. Has anyone converted the file to DWG or DXF ? If so could I ask for acopy as my PC is not 64bit therefore Blender and Fusion360 are not available to me
Thanks. Peter
